RESIDENTS are being warned about a rise in catalytic converter thefts in the past few days.
Police say that in the last couple of days, they have received a "handful" of reports of catalytic converter thefts in Fareham.
Cars in Portchester are said to have been targeted along Falcon Close, Birdwood Grove and Hertsfield.
Vehicles have also been affected in the Southampton Road area of Titchfield Common/Park Gate.
Now officers are calling on any witnesses or anyone with footage of these incidents to call 101.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: "If you see someone acting suspiciously under a vehicle, report it. Obtain as much information as possible, including any vehicle registrations.
"Our local officers are monitoring reports and continue to encourage people to report any suspicious activity. Protect, mark and park your car securely to reduce the risk."
