Top five restaurants in Southampton according to Tripadvisor

In line with the governments roadmap, as of May 17, hospitality businesses have been able to open inside for the first time since lockdown began at the start of the year.

With the bank holiday weekend starting today, restaurants across the city are gearing up to welcome customers for food and drinks.

That is why the Daily Echo has put together a list of the top five cafes in Southampton according to Tripadvisor.

All businesses in this list are listed as a restaurant currently on Tripadvisor and are in the order of how they rank on the website:

"Absolutely loved eating here!! Great variety of food options. Food was fresh and tasty and they are really able to cater for vegetarians and vegans. We had the guacamole and tortilla chips, the salad bowl, veg enchiladas and veg tacos! All of it had a different flavour giving us a great meal! Prices were really fair and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive! Can’t wait to go again!"

We had a great time, enjoyed the mixed grills and kingfisher on tap was great too! The lamb chops were so tender and succulent!! "Found this little place after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. I contacted them on Facebook and they were very responsive and polite. The place is situated in an industrial estate and have plenty of parking just outside. Pizza was great. A little on the small side but fully loaded. Definitely would choose independent pizza place like this over a chain. Would recommend a visit."

"We went for lunch and I had the pork pie with a side of piccalilli and it was very tasty as usual. I have this almost everytime I go. My partner had a chicken wrap and it looked amazing and he rated it one of the best chicken wraps he's ever had. I will be having that wrap on my next visit. We finished with a chocolate Brownie which literally melted in your mouth. Excellent service and very welcoming with great food and a sunny outdoor seating area."
