A SOUTHAMPTON boat show has attracted new international brands to attend this years event.

The Southampton International Boat Show, has announced a raft of new and returning international brands signed up to attend this year’s event taking place from September 10-19 at Mayflower Park.

Run by British Marine, the show is billed as Britain’s biggest festival of boating and offers visitors an “immersion into the world of boating and watersports”.

Created by the shores of Lake Como in Italy, and on show for the first time at the event will be the boats from Comitti.

The family-owned company, founded in 1956, is one of the few remaining Italian shipyards.

Kawasaki Jet-Skis is also set to make a return after a seven year absence from the show, showing its new range of multi-seat and stand up personal watercraft.

Also on display for the first time in the UK will be the new range of Karnic boats that range from five to nine metres long.

Alongside all the craft and stands, the Southampton Boat Show is set to put on a range of activities with dedicated new features, stages, live music, entertainment and guest speakers.

Lesley Robinson, CEO of British Marine, said: “Our goal is to offer a great, safe day out for everyone.

“With so much interest in waterports at the moment, from seasoned sailors to those who are new to watersports, the Southampton International Boat Show is the place to come and see everything on one location.”

Poole based, CMC Marine, will also be exhibiting at this year’s Southampton International boat show and will be showcasing its range of electrically driven fin stabilisers, thrusters, steering and intruder systems.
