MORE than 1,600 cases of the Delta variant have been recorded across Hampshire.
Data released on the Government website has shown that, as of June 25, there were 1,604 cases of the Delta variant recorded across the county.
This is up from 974 cases last week.
A total of 329 cases were recorded in Southampton - up 147.
Below are the number of Delta cases per local authority on June 25:
- Basingstoke and Deane: 148
- East Hampshire: 69
- Eastleigh: 66
- Fareham: 54
- Gosport: 42
- Hart: 139
- Havant: 63
- New Forest: 65
- Portsmouth: 217
- Rushmoor: 195
- Southampton: 329
- Test Valley: 150
- Winchester: 67
