AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of an 87-year-old who suffered a fall at her home in Totton.
Rhoda Ann Miller fell at her home in Rufus Gardens, and she was admitted to Southampton General Hospital where she died on June 29, this year.
An inquest was opened at Winchester Coroner’s Court by area coroner Jason Pegg.
Mr Pegg said: “She was admitted to the hospital in Southampton following a fall and long lie at her home address, despite treatment she continued to deteriorate.”
A post-mortem was carried out and the cause of death was given as fall with long lie, recent cerebral infarction and extensive tumour of right kidney.
Mr Pegg adjourned the hearing, and a full inquest will take place on February 21, next year.
