FIREFIGHTERS have helped to rescue a man who had become stuck in mud at a town creek.
On Monday morning it was reported that a man had become stuck in the mud at Fareham Creek.
Fire crews from Cosham, as well as a water rescue team from Fareham were called at 8.47am.
Using portable rescue platforms, known as mud paths, the crews were able to reach the man.
He was found to be still conscious and breathing and was taken back to land.
Hazardous Area Response Team then checked the man over as firefighters decontaminated their equipment.
Firefighters left the scene shortly after 9.55am.
