A HAMPSHIRE teenager who has helped raise more than £20,000 for children's charities has been left heartbroken by the theft of her motorbike.

Lottie Trenchard, 13, and her mother Annette were away on holiday when thieves broke into their garage and made off with the Kawasaki KX85.

Annette, of Cutforth Way, Romsey, said the teenager "sobbed her heart out" when she learned her £3,800 bike had been stolen.

Lottie, a member of the Tigers Children's Motorcycle Display Team, has used the bike to raise funds for charity by performing stunts and tricks at shows across the UK.

Last year's season was cancelled because of the pandemic and health problems have prevented her from any taking part in any events this year.

Now the family must find a way of raising enough money for a new bike, which is likely to cost around £7,000.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in a bid to them achieve their goal.

Annette said: "Lottie faces missing another season with the club unless she can purchase a replacement bike in time for the new training season, which begins in November.

"During her eight years with the Tigers she has helped raise more than £20,000 for children's charities.

"We were on holiday when a neighbour informed us that our garage door was open.

"She sobbed her heart out when she learned of the theft - she was devastated. I have no idea how I'm going to mend her broken heart.

"Lottie worked so hard to earn that bike and I'm furious that someone who doesn’t deserve it has taken it from her. What's happened is sickening - it's just so wrong."

The Tigers are hoping the bike will be recovered.
