A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of poaching after getting caught on private land.
A 24-year-old man from Romsey has been arrested after he was suspected of fishing on private grounds.
He was caught by an officer patrolling Leckford near Stockbridge.
A police spokesperson said: "An officer patrolling Leckford, at an area known as 'The Bunny', arrested a man on suspicion of poaching offences after suspecting he was fishing on private grounds.
"The incident happened at around 7.15pm on 8 August.
"The 24-year-old man from Romsey was arrested on suspicion of poaching. He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue."
