A HAMPSHIRE taxi driver who worked without a licence has been hit with a bill of more than £1,000.
Craig Carrington drove a cab around Hampshire without a licence in January of this year.
The 60-year-old of Rushpole Court, Dibden, was also uninsured between October 2018 and January 2021.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to operating a private hire vehicle in a controlled district without having a current licence, acting as the driver of a hackney carriage without a licence and being uninsured.
His driving licence was endorsed with eight points.
Carrington must pay £1,050 in costs and fines.
