MOTORISTS using a vital Southampton route face 25-minute delays this morning.
One lane of the Redbridge Causeway is close due to roadworks today.
Commuters using the the eastbound carriageway of the A35 can expect traffic back to the Rushington Roundabout.
Work is being carried out by SGN to replace a gas pipe.
The project involves taking out an old line and installing new equipment.
A full closure of the A35 eastbound off-slip to M271 Redbridge Roundabout will be in place from 8pm on Friday 20 August until Tuesday 31 August.
There will be a diversion taking road users to the next junction at the Millbrook Roundabout and back onto the westbound carriageway of the A35.
The work will done during the day only, but this will include weekends and will use extended hours (6.30am–8.30pm).
