A PATIENT has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an incident in Southampton city centre.
Paramedics treated a person in St Mary Street for serious injuries shortly after 6pm last night.
They were then rushed to hospital, according to South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).
Police officers swooped on the St Mary's area of the city with more than six patrol cars spotted on the scene.

Meanwhile, St Mary Street was taped off at its junction with Ascupart Road.
A spokesperson for SCAS said: "We were called at 18:10 to St Marys St. We sent to the scene an ambulance officer and an ambulance crew and they were assessing and treating one patient for serious injuries.
"Following treatment at the scene by our crews the patient was taken to hospital."
