A WOMAN has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon after a stop search by police.
Alexandra Elizabeth Mairis, 30, of Alexander Square, Eastleigh, has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place.
This comes after a woman was stopped by a Roads Policing Unit whilst driving a Vauxhall on Chestnut Avenue.
The woman was searched at the time of the stop search.
Now Mairis has been bailed and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on September 2.
