PLANS to enlarge a bungalow in a Hampshire village have been rejected for the second time

An appeal was lodged after New Forest District Council rejected an application relating to a property at Lime Close in Dibden Purlieu.

The scheme included a two-storey side extension and an extension to the ridge height.

A government-appointed planning inspector has dismissed the appeal, saying the proposed development would effectively turn the bungalow into a house.

The inspector added: "The proposed extensions would substantially increase both the depth and height of the building.

"Due to the location of the property it would be unduly prominent within the area, particularly as it would be an isolated house amongst the row of bungalows."
