A DRINK driver from Kings Worthy near Winchester has been banned from the road for 18 months.
John Beaver, 60, of Shroner View, was caught by police in a 61-reg Ford Mondeo at Tesco in Winnall on July 23, a court heard.
His alcohol reading was 94 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath, nearly three times the legal limit. Beaver admitted the charge.
District judge Tim Pattinson in Basingstoke disqualified him for 18 month although the ban will be cut by 18 weeks if he passes an approved course.
Beaver was also fined £140 with £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
