A CAR has been seized after it was driven to the next town with no insurance and no MOT.
Yesterday, police in Fareham seized a car under section 165 of the road traffic act.
Officers said the vehicle had been driven from Gosport to Fareham with no insurance, no MOT and whilst the vehicle was SORN.
The driver is said to have explained to them that they were on their way to the shops at the time.
A police spokesperson said: "The driver thought it was ok to “just pop to the shops” from Gosport down into Fareham.
"We will seize your vehicle under these circumstances to protect other drivers from a potentially dangerous and uninsured vehicle. The driver will also receive a fine and penalty points on their licence."
