CHILDREN are now able to enjoy a range of new equipment as a new play area opens in Hedge End.
The new site at Barnfield Way is offering a range of new play equipment to local children and is described as providing a "safe, fun and challenging experience."
Aimed at children up to 12 years of age, the new area includes items like Spinmee, DDA Inclusive Roundabout, Rota-Roka Spinner, Vippy Seesaw and a Multi-Unit Log Snake Weaver.

This comes as the council continues its investment in improving existing play areas and creating new ones across the borough.
Chair of Bursledon, Hamble and Hound Local Area Committee Cllr Tonia Craig said: “We were pleased to provide the funding for this great new community facility. It will provide local children in the area with the chance to enjoy a range of play equipment in a safe environment and also encourages them to keep active."
Cllr Jane Welsh Chair of Hedge End Town Council Recreation Committee added: “I am delighted that the new play area is now open and that local children are already enjoying this new facility. I would also remind parents to take care when crossing Barnfield Way.”
