A CYCLIST has been killed following a crash with a car near Barton Stacey.
The collision occurred between the cyclist and a Vauxhall Astra on an unnamed road known locally as Newton Lane between Barton Stacey and Newton Stacey at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
The air ambulance was called to the incident but a 45-year-old man died at the scene.
A 21-year-old Hampshire woman has been arrested in connection with the crash.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who has any information.
A police spokesperson said: "We'd like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or may have dash-cam footage of it. They are asked to call 101 and quote 44210325082."
