A SOUTHAMPTON park has reopened after it was closed yesterday due to a potential poisoning.
Mayflower Park was closed yesterday morning after several pigeons were found dead in the area.
It remained shut throughout the day whilst an investigation took place.
But this morning police say the park has been reopened after a search by council officers.

A statement on Southampton Cops Twitter page read: "Following yesterday's tweet we have now reopened Mayflower Park and it is safe to visit.
"After a thorough search by the city council's environmental health officers, no more poisonous material has been found.
"The council continues to investigate. Thanks for your support."
A council spokesperson confirmed that the park has reopened but was not able to give any further information at this time.
The Echo has asked for further comment on what the cause of the deaths was.
