A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving after a vehicle was stopped and searched.
On Saturday police received reports that a man had entered a vehicle holding a bottle of whiskey.
They are said to have then driven away on Rowe Way, Eastleigh at around 8.15am.
Officers later spotted the vehicle at the roundabout of junction 5 on the M27.
It was then stopped and searched on Stoneham Way, Southampton.
A quantity of Class B drugs is said to have been located and was seized.
The driver was breathalysed and a drugs wipe was taken while the passenger was also searched.
Now a 21-year-old man from Luton has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, driving whilst unfit through drugs and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
He has been released under investigation.
A 25-year-old man from Luton was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug.
But he was later released and no further action taken.
