CARE home residents and staff have learnt about the latest firefighting kit as they were visited by the team from their nearby fire station.
The team at Botley Fire Station visited Barchester's Snowdrop Place care home in Hedge End recently along with their brand new fire engine.
Residents spent time chatting to the crew and had photos taken whilst they admired the "state-of-the-art" vehicle.
The home began welcoming new residents in April when it opened its doors for the first time.
Home Services Advisor, Megan Best, said: “Our residents had such a great time chatting to the crew, we know the team at the Fire Station well because they have been involved throughout the build of Snowdrop Place.”
A resident said: “I have such respect for our firefighters, they do an amazing job. It was so lovely to meet the team and know they are close by if we ever need them!”
