SAINTS FANS have vented their anger at having to queue for hours ahead of the first home game of the football season.
Saints are due to clash with Manchester United at 2pm on Sunday.
However, loyal fans spent hours queueing up for their season tickets outside St Mary's Stadium on Saturday.
Despite paying months ago, many have still not received their pass in the post.
One fan has slammed the "disgraceful organisation and management" at Southampton FC.
Tony Machin said: "My ticket has not come in the post. I'm working today and had to send my daughter down [to collect it].
"It's absolutely ludicrous. It's no way to treat the fans. It's unnecessary stress."
The 59-year-old from the Shirley area of Southampton said he feels "really, really angry".
He added: "I have been a season ticket holder for about twenty years.
"Just let us in if we have proof. I want compensation."
A queue has reportedly formed around the stadium.
Meanwhile, Mark Griffiths, from Sholing said it's really embarrassing for the club.
The 57-year-old who runs a pharmaceutical company says he waited an hour and a half for his ticket this morning which he paid for months ago.
He added: "I feel very sorry for the girls at the gate.
"What is going to happen tomorrow, I have no clue. It will be chaos.
"It's a bit of a mess.
"I think it's really shameful in this day and age that you can't get a piece of cardboard to somebody in a couple of months.
"I would like the people who have had to stand in line to be refunded by the club.
"I love my team and I love my city but management needs to stand up and apologise."
