PLANS to build an oak-framed stable block in the New Forest National Park have been withdrawn by the applicant.

The Lymington-based National Park Authority (NPA) is no longer studying an application relating to Milky Down at Nouale Lane, Ringwood.

The application said the proposed new building would provide stabling and much-needed storage space and well as enhancing the appearance of the site.

It added: "The site is on an area of hardstanding where a previous building once stood. No changes are proposed to the access points from the property to the highway, for pedestrians or vehicles."

Ringwood Town Council had recommended the NPA to approve the proposal.
