POLICE are urging Southampton resident to be vigilant after an attempted theft from an unlocked car.
Today officers received reports of someone going through an unlocked car on Seaton Close in West End at around 2.20am.
The Ring Doorbell had gone off which alerted the owner, who saw the culprit going through the vehicle.
The man then ran off out of the close.
He is described at a man wearing all black with white face mask possibly patterned with skull and cross bones.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "Did you see anyone? Do you have any private CCTV, Dash Cam or Door Bell footage showing the offender?
