A CYCLIST has suffered a serious leg injury following a crash involving a car.
The man in his 30s was rushed to hospital following the crash on Commerical Road, Totton.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics but was then taken to University Hospital Southampton.
The collision which happened at around 5.15pm on Tuesday meant that one lane of the road was blocked.
Meanwhile, long queues formed backing onto Redbridge Road.
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 5.13pm to Commercial Road Totton to a collision. We sent to the scene an ambulance officer and an ambulance crew to assess and treat a male patient in their 30s.
"Following treatment at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries the patient was taken to University Hospital Southampton."
