A SOUTHAMPTON man has been arrested after officers say they discovered a quantity of drugs in a search.
On Tuesday, police were patrolling the A335 towards Bassett Green Road when they spotted a suspicious vehicle.
Just after 1pm, a proactive search was conducted on the driver and the vehicle.
A quantity of Class A drugs is said to have been located in a search at a custody suite.
A quantity of cash and mobile devices were also found in the vehicle according to officers.
Now a 21-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
He has been released under investigation, pending further police enquiries.
