A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap in relation to reports of a missing Dorset woman.
Detectives investigating reports of a concern for the welfare of East Dorset woman Angela Coombs have confirmed that she has now been located.
Dorset Police received a report at 3.13pm on Friday, August 27, that Angela Coombs, a vulnerable 73-year-old woman, had left an address in Bingham Road in Verwood with a man aged in his 60s who was known to her.
It was alleged she had been taken away without the proper consent.
Following enquiries and searches by officers, with assistance from colleagues at Hampshire Constabulary, Ms Coombs was found safe.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "A 66-year-old Verwood man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and is assisting detectives with their enquiries.
"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal."
