EMERGENCY services raced to Itchen Bridge following reports of a concern for welfare incident.
Police blocked off the Itchen Bridge at around 11.30am today after receiving reports of a concern for welfare for a woman.
Officers attended and the woman has now been located.
Motorists were previously urged to find alternative routes, however, both lanes have now reopened.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called out at 11.29am following reports of concern for welfare for a woman on the Itchen Bridge."

Services are on diversion via Peartree Avenue, Bitterne Road, Northam and Britannia Road due to the Itchen Bridge closing.
Itchen Bridge has been closed by emergency services, in both directions. Please find an alternative route, we will update once we have an update.
