A MAN has admitted to causing danger to motorists on a Hampshire motorway.

Dean Williams has pleaded guilty to causing danger to road users on the M27 at Botley Road, Park Gate.

Appearing before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, he admitted to the offence which happened on August 27 this year.

As previously reported emergency services raced to the scene at around 3.30pm following reports of a concern for welfare incident.

The motorway had to be closed resulting in miles of tailbacks.

Williams, 28, of Drake Close, Park Gate has been remanded on bail.

He is next due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on October 19 while a pre-sentence report is prepared.
