TWO Southampton teenagers have been arrested by police investigating a break-in and the theft of a car.
Police say one of the teenagers was held on suspicion of drink-driving and possessing an imitation firearm.
Officers were called at 7.40am last Saturday following a burglary that had taken place at Gainsborough Close, Sholing, during the night.
A wallet, bank cards and a car key had been taken from inside the property and a Ford Focus had been stolen from the driveway.
Shortly after 1pm on Saturday officers spotted the Ford Focus being driven on Bassett Avenue, Southampton. They stopped the vehicle and subsequently made two arrests.
A police spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old boy from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of motor vehicle.
"A 19-year-old man, also from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of an imitation firearm and drink-driving.
"Both have been released from custody but remain on police bail with conditions while our enquiries continue."
