A HAMPSHIRE town centre was closed off last night after a fire broke out at a derelict shop.
Firefighters raced to Market Street in Eastleigh to tackle a blaze in the doorway of the former Burton store.
Crews from Eastleigh and St Mary's Fire Stations were on the scene after an emergency call was made shortly before 9pm.
Four engines and an aerial ladder platform were all involved in the operation.
According to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, no one was injured.
Police were alerted to the incident, however, at this stage, it is unknown how the blaze was sparked.
The stop message came in at 10.03pm.
