AN investigation has been launched into a fire at a derelict shop.
On Monday night, Eastleigh’s Market Street was closed off as firefighters tackled a blaze at the former Burton store.
Four engines and an aerial ladder platform were used to extinguish the fire which started at around 9pm.
There were no reports of injuries and it is not yet known what started the fire but now police have launched an investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “The cause of the fire is being investigated and we are appealing for anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting 44210378754.”
They added that the blaze started in the doorway of the building and “burnt property” was found.
