This establishment offers fresh stone baked pizza – but is equally as renowned for its desserts.

Reviewer J. Churney gave Spitfire high praise: "My daughter and son-in-law recommended Spitfire Ice Cream and Pizza on our visit to Southampton from Halifax, NS Canada. We we’re NOT disappointed that we went."

1. Stakks Pancake House, Marlands

Taking the tops spot, STAKKS is the brain child of the Copper family, who’s main priority was to open a pancake house that offered only freshly prepared, ‘made from scratch’ dishes.

They are delivered to customers fresh from the pan.

Whilst specific recipes are closely guarded secrets, staff can tell you that these have been passed down through family generations.

Reviewer Dara S said: "My husband and I are originally from the US, and have been living in the UK for two years now. We decided to visit Stakks before departing on a cruise, and it was the best decision we could have made."
