SOUTHAMPTON has been named as the third happiest location in the South East.
This comes as no surprise as there is so much in the city to smile about.
A set of photos that featured the hashtag #selfie on Instagram were collected by mortgage broker Online Mortgage Advisor to find the overall happiest locations in the UK.

An AI facial recognition tool was used to analyse over 300,000 posts from all over the world to find out the level of happiness of locals and tourists in various locations in the UK.
According to the findings, people in Southampton are 47.1 per cent happier than the UK average.
The city is also in the top 20 list of the happiest locations in the UK, ranking at number 18.
Southampton was pipped to the post by Chichester which has been named as the happiest location in the South East.
The research revealed that Chichester residents are 58.7 per cent happier than the UK average.
