A SOUTHAMPTON drug drive has been banned fro the roads for four years.
Jamal Farooq was found to be drug driving at Lordshill District Centre and Brownhill Way in Southampton on January 11.
The 29-year-old was found to have THC - a breakdown product of cannabis - in his blood.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to drug driving.
Farooq, of Corden Avenue, Southampton, was committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months and was disqualified from driving for four years.
He was ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Farooq was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and court costs of £85.
