A STALKER screamed at his victim as he drove alongside her during a car chase around Southampton, a court heard.
Lance Cole slammed on his brakes after overtaking his pregnant victim on Romsey Road.
She was in turn forced to stop suddenly.
Cole, 32, had spotted his former partner just moments before and turned around in a side road to pursue her.
Prosecution barrister, Francis Gaskin, told how the woman tried to drive towards Southampton Central Police Station with the defendant following her.
She also drove on the wrong side of the road attempting to escape him.
Mr Gaskin said that on an M271 slip road “he overtook her on hatched markings and slams on his brakes to stop her”.

She was finally able to lose her stalker on a roundabout, however, was “very scared for her safety” at the time of the incident in August.
Mr Gaskin added that Cole made around 100 unwanted calls to his victim and sent 40 unwanted emails between July 13 and August 4 this year.
Some of the messages read “You’re dead, watch,” and “So silly. Putting me in jail won’t help. Once I’m out, it’s going to be worse.”
Appearing before Southampton Crown Court, Cole of Blackwell Road, Worthy Down was charged with dangerous driving, stalking and breaching a non-molestation order.
He previously pleaded guilty to all of the offences.
Cole has 44 previous convictions for 93 offences.
Some of these include harassment and breaching a restraining order.
Defending, Chris Gaiger said his client suffers from ADHD and presents as a person with serious mental health difficulties.
He argued that he would benefit from assistance and help from probation services within the community.
Judge Peter Henry jailed him for 12-months and made him the subject of a ten-year restraining order.
After being released from prison, Cole will be banned from the roads for 18-months.
