A 23-YEAR-OLD man has died following a triple stabbing in a Hampshire seaside town - this is what we know so far.
A fatal stabbing in Lymington High Street has been called a dreadful and worrying incident.
One man has died and another 23-year-old man is in a critical condition at Southampton General Hospital, at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, a woman, also 23, was hospitalised after suffering wounds to her chest.
Parts of the town centre were taped off on Saturday following the attack which happened shortly before midnight on Friday.
A police murder probe is now underway and four people have been arrested.
They include three men, all from Lymington, aged 29, 20 and 18.
A 14-year-old boy from the coastal town has also been arrested in connection with the incident outside the Royal British Legion.
The town Mayor, James Hoare, said he was "deeply saddened" by what happened.
He said: "My thoughts are with the friends and family of those who have died and are injured in this terrible crime."
Cllr Alan Penson, who represents the Lymington Town ward, said: "It's a dreadful, worrying incident.
"It's a worry to us in the town and a big concern for those involved whether the victims or the perpetrators of it. I really don't think it's appropriate to say much more at the moment."
He also praised the quick response times of the emergency services.
