FIREFIGHTERS have confirmed that a callout to a New Forest petrol station was a false alarm.

On Friday just after 7pm firefighters from five stations were called to reports of a fire at the Co-Op Petrol Station in Lymington.

Crews from Lyndhurst, Beaulieu, St Marys, New Milton and Lymington attended.

It has now been confirmed that the incident was a false alarm and no action was taken by the fire service.
