PARTS of the M27 are set to close from tonight as works take place.
Below is everything you need to know if you're travelling in that area.
What is happening?
A part of the M27's Eastbound carriageway will be closed throughout the weekend.
This is due to deep reconstruction works on the carriageway.
Diversions will be in place throughout the work.
A reminder, our re-scheduled weekend closure of #M27 from J9-11 eastbound is tomorrow 9pm til 6am Mon 1 Nov. Diversion details on our webpage. J9 #Fareham remains open throughout with access to @ShopWhiteley unaffected. https://t.co/rU5ePSYzd9 @hantshighways .@hantsconnect

When and where is this taking place?
The work is taking place between Junction 9 for Park Gate and Junction 11 for Wallington.
Closures will be implemented from 9pm on Friday until 6am on Monday, November 1.
What diversions will be put in?
A signed diversion will be in place and traffic travelling eastbound should leave the M27 at junction 9 and take the third exit at the roundabout onto the A27 towards Fareham.
Drivers should continue on the eastbound A27 and re-join the M27 at junction 11.
Junction 9 for Whiteley will remain open and shoppers can still access the shopping centre throughout the work.
What will be the situation with traffic?
A National Highways spokesperson said: "Congestion is expected, so drivers are advised to plan ahead and leave extra time for their journeys."
This comes after the work was originally planned to take place earlier this month but was cancelled due to bad weather.
