At a swanky London ceremony, the winners of the Asian Curry Awards 2021 were announced, and two Hampshire restaurants have come out on top.
More than 800 VIP guests attended the Asian hospitality sector’s most prestigious event, the Asian Curry Awards in association with Just Eat.
Held at the Grosvenor House in London’s Mayfair on Sunday, November 21, the evening was hosted by BBC television’s Kate Silverton.

Hampshire Asian Curry Awards 2021 winners
Ottoman Kitchen
Where: 36-37 High St, Southampton SO14 2DF
Cusine: Turkish
For the third year in a row, Turkish restaurant Ottoman Kitchen in High Street, Southampton has picked up Middle Eastern Restaurant of The Year.
Rivaaz Lymington
Where: 7 St Thomas St, Lymington SO41 9NA
Cusine: Indian
Elsewhere in the county, Rivaaz in Lymington was named Asian Restaurant of The Year in the South Coast of England.
The awards are arranged by the Asian Catering Federation whose chairman, Yawar Khan, addressed the audience of ambassadors, high commissioners, senior politicians, embassy officials, journalists and business owners.
He acknowledged the generosity of Federation members, who donated thousands of takeaways to frontline NHS staff, key workers, the elderly and the vulnerable.

Andrew Kenny, Managing Director of headline sponsors of the awards, Just Eat UK, said: “Just Eat has worked closely with the Asian Catering Federation for a number of years.
“As we begin to recover from the pandemic, I’m delighted to celebrate our partnership by helping to recognise the fantastic achievements of those in our industry who have worked tirelessly through the last 18 months and continue to do so.”
