A GLOBAL cruise company has announced it will be supporting a new public art trail across Winchester and Southampton.
Coming to the region in 2022, the Hares of Hampshire trail will be a spectacular public art trail and will form part of the largest outdoor art installation that Winchester and Southampton have ever seen.
The 30 larger than life brightly painted Hare statues will pop up separately at different locations across the two cities from June 16 until September 4, 2022.
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is taking centre stage in support of the event.
The Murray Parish Trust have announced one of the world’s leading cruise companies, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) as Presenting Partner for their upcoming Wild in Art trail, Hares of Hampshire.
For 10 weeks, Winchester and Southampton streets, parks and public spaces will be brought to life with an exhibition of magnificent hares.
Eamonn Ferrin, vice president international business for NCL, said: “Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. has been a supporter of The Murray Parish Trust since 2018 and we couldn’t be prouder to continue our long-term partnership.
"By joining the Hares of Hampshire project, we hope to be an integral part in helping The Murray Parish Trust achieve their admirable goal of raising funds for the much-needed iMRI Suite at Southampton Children’s Hospital.
"Many of our UK workforce are based in Southampton and surrounding areas, so it means a lot to us to be able to support a cause which is not only incredibly important, but part of our dedication to family and community.
"We can’t wait to see the incredible hare artworks bringing smiles to all those who will see them.”
