A WOMAN IS fighting for her life and two others have been hospitalised following a crash at a Hampshire supermarket.
A woman in her 30s has suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash involving three cars.
Police rushed to the scene of the incident at the Tesco superstore in Hamble Lane, Bursledon shortly after 3pm on Wednesday
The crash involved three cars including a blue Hyundai i10, a grey Ford Mondeo and a brown Kia Niro.
Another woman in her 70s was left with serious injuries whilst the driver of the Ford Mondeo also suffered minor injuries.
Both injured women were pedestrians.
An air ambulance attended to help paramedics and other health care professionals and all three injured were taken to University Hospital Southampton.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 15:01 to Hamble Lane to reports a car had struck pedestrians.
"We sent three ambulance crews, two paramedic officers, BASICs, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance."
The incident is reported to have happened outside the entrance to the store, in an area reserved for disabled shoppers.
Two fire engines from Hightown also attended.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Bursledon today (1 December).
"Did you witness the collision? Do you have dashcam footage of the incident?
