THE SERVICE at a Southampton care home is being monitored closely by the health watchdog following the death of a resident.
The CQC will continue to monitor the service at Potters Court to ensure that residents are safe.
It comes following the tragic death of Mark Williams whose body was found below the balcony of his flat at the assisted living complex in Wimpson Lane.
His daughters, Lucy and Jessy, say he fell on the night of November 8 while trying to put himself to bed.
They have raised multiple concerns about a “lack of care” from Apex Prime Care.
And have since demanded that someone is held accountable.
Commenting on the case, Rebecca Bauers, the head of inspection for adult social care at the CQC, said: “We are aware of the tragic death of a resident at Potters Court, run by Apex Prime Care, and our thoughts are with the family and friends.
“We will continue to work with the local authority and other stakeholders to monitor the service closely to ensure that people are safe. If there is evidence that that people are at risk of harm, we will take action."

Southampton City Council is said to be in discussions with Apex Prime Care.
Following Mark's death in November, council health boss, Ivan White, said: “We are shocked and saddened by this tragic incident and my thoughts are with the resident’s friends and family at this time. We are providing on-site support and reassurance to staff and the wider Potters Court community whilst investigations are carried out.”
The Daily Echo has contacted Apex on multiple occasions, however, is yet to receive a response.
