SOUTHAMPTON residents can get a booster jab at a walk-in clinic today.
Walk-in vaccinations are taking place at St Peter's Surgery in Portsmouth Road.
People will be able to get their first, second or booster dose for covid-19.
There is no need to book or take paperwork.
The clinic will run up until 2pm and is open for anyone 18-years-old and over.
David Starkey stopped by the surgey to receive his booster jab, which was initially booked for the middle of January.
Speaking after receiving his jab, he said: "Getting my booster jab was so slick and I only had to queue for about two minutes, I was straight in.
"The whole thing took about five minutes and it is excellent. I'm glad I am able to come before Christmas and get it done."
The surgery is also offering walk-in clinics this coming week, with sessions from 1pm to 5pm and 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday, December 22 and between 1pm and 5pm on Thursday, December 23.
Volunteer Jess Boxall said: "So far today I think we have had a couple of hundred people come, so it's been steady.
"It makes you feel patriotic really as hundreds of people are coming in and getting the booster. It's been a really good opportunity as a volunteer too.
"The morale is quite high here and people are excited."
