TWO Hampshire employers have been named among the UK’s top places to work.
Zurich UK and Softcat have both been given the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice award, based on feedback from their staff.
Zurich, which has an office at Parkway, Whiteley, was at number 16 on the list.
IT infrastructure business Softcat, which has a south coast office site at Whiteley’s Solent Centre, was at number 31.
Steve Collinson, head of the people team for Zurich in the UK, said: “We’ve been working tirelessly for many years to make Zurich the best insurance company to work for.
“We’re delighted to see the fruits of our labour which has come straight from the people that really matter – our employees,” he added.
The Employers’ Choice Award are based solely on the input of staff who leave anonymous feedback about their job, work environment and employer on the website Glassdoor.
Zurich was praised for its stance on work-life balance and its flexible working options.
Earlier this week, the insurer announced that demand for part-time jobs there had almost doubled since it launched a flexible working initiative in 2019.
One employee reviewing the company on Glassdoor praised a “good selection of benefits, great career opportunities in the UK and outside, and a company that cares about its people”.
Another mentioned “friendly, supportive, well-structured, strategic, development opportunities”.
Zurich has a rating of 4.4 stars out of five on Glassdoor, while Softcat scores 4.3.
A review of Softcat said: “The people are fantastic Full investment in employees – you’re a valued person, not a number. Amazing benefits.”
One employee called the business “so, so fun and inclusive, so good” and added; “It’s absolutely, amazing can’t recommend enough”
Other big names on the list who have staff in Hampshire included Barratt Developments, Nando’s, Schuh, Ford, Marriott International, O2 and the Gym Group.
The top 10 employers were: ServiceNow, AND Digital, Salesforce, Immediate Media Company, Abcam, McKinsey & Company, Adobe, VMware, Arm and Facebook's owner Meta.
