TWO animal accidents on the same stretch of road less than 24 hours apart left one pony dead and another injured.
Both collisions occurred on the B3078 Roger Penny Way - one of the worst routes in the New Forest for collisions involving free-roaming animals.
A pony was killed at Blackgutter, between Brook and Godshill, at 7.30pm last Thursday.
The New Forest Verderers have announced that another pony was injured in the same area at 5.40pm the following day.
It comes just days after Roger Penny Way was described as "infamous" by the Commoners' Defence Association, which represents the owners of the ponies, cattle, sheep and donkeys that graze the landscape.
Four ponies were killed on the B3078 near Brook on December 31 2020.
