A COLLECTIVE of county groups have launched a new campaign to tackle domestic abuse.

The Hampshire Domestic Abuse Partnership offers help to victims and survivors, children living with domestic abuse, and even people who are abusing their loved ones.

It has launched its Valentine’s Day scheme called 'Is this love?'.

A spokesperson for Hampshire County Council said: "Domestic violence and abuse are a pattern of behaviour designed to achieve power and control over a partner, ex-partner or family member, regardless of gender or sexuality. Controlling behaviour can include ways to criticise, belittle or threaten, such as:

"Is your relationship healthy? Am I in an abusive relationship?

"Most people have arguments with those close to them but if this begins to form a consistent pattern, it could be an indication of domestic abuse."
