A YOUNG woman from Eastleigh died after being struck by a train, an inquest opening heard.
Rosie Louise Fender was pronounced deceased at Crampmoor level crossing on February 3.
A train driver confirmed to Winchester Coroner's Office that he had hit the 26-year-old.
According to a pathologist, the preliminary cause of death is a head injury, caused by being struck by train.
The full inquest has been adjourned to September 6, and will be heard in Winchester.
