SAINTS staged a moving show of support for the people of Ukraine last night as the war raged on.
The club displayed a large image of the country's blue and yellow flag, emblazoned with the message "We Stand With Ukraine".
The stadium was bathed in blue light and at least one supporter held up a placard calling for the war to end.
During the match, a heavily rotated Saints side slashed the odds to knock high-flying West Ham out of the FA Cup, and progressed to the quarter-final with a 3-1 win.
Romain Perraud opened the scoring after a period of Hammers pressure with a thunderous hit from range, but Michail Antonio was all too grateful to tap in an easy equaliser in the second-half.
Captain fantastic James Ward-Prowse’s penalty restored the lead after substitute Armando Broja had been fouled by Craig Dawson in the area, before the Albanian wrapped it up with magic of his own in injury time.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian flag is flying above Palace House, ancestral home of Lord Montagu at Beaulieu.
