A MAN arrested after a stabbing that left another man fighting for his life has been released under investigation.

A 19-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in an attack in Ascupart Street, Southampton.

Police officers taped off an area in the St Mary's area of the city following the incident on March 14.

A 22-year-old was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police have now confirmed that he has been released on bail until April 12 this year.
