A PIRI-Piri takeaway has been given the lowest possible rating by the food hygiene watchdog.
Barcelos in Winchester was branded as unclean and unsafe when inspectors from the Food Standards Agency visited in February.
In a report published last week, they raised serious concerns over cleanliness and the condition of the Jewry Street Building.
The inspectors also slammed the management of food safety, saying both areas of the business need “major improvement”.

Barcelos has also been told to improve the way it handles food.
A zero rating from the agency stands for “urgent improvement necessary”.
The Echo contacted the eatery on Friday for a comment, but did not receive a response.
Winchester City Council is due to send the full food hygiene report in the coming days.
